THIS TOTALLY UNIQUE SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE HAS BEEN PASSED THROUGH GENERATIONS OF FAMILIES IN COMO AND WE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO SHARE THIS COUTURE HERITAGE TO PRODUCE YOUR SILKS.

 

AT COMO SILKS EVERY SILK YARN IS SPUN, WOVEN AND HAND FINISHED ON LAKE COMO IN OUR FACTORY (PENTAGONO SETA)  WHICH OPERATES THE BEST SILK LOOMS IN THE WORLD. IT IS PRECISELY THIS HERITAGE AND PASSION THAT IS WOVEN THROUGH EACH AND EVERY COMO SILKS PIECE.

WE HAVE CHOSEN THREE CORE WEAVES REVIVED FROM ARCHIVES AND BLENDED WITH MODERN, INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES TO CREATE SOMETHING TRULY EXQUISITE AND UNIQUE IN EACH AND EVERY PIECE

 

FIL-COUPÉ

Fil-Coupé is a rare and difficult weave to achieve. We have revived and re-mastered it using an extremely rare loom on Lake Como.

To make each piece takes 19 process, 15 people, 2 looms and a second Como facility for precise mm fine cutting and finishing.

 

GRAPHIC JACQUARD

Graphic jacquard is a new and unique weave to Como Silks. A weighty, pure and decadent 100% Italian woven silk tapestry creates a beautiful rich effect that is so refined and detailed it seems printed.

To make each piece - 1 full day to weave, 16 people, 2 factories, totally unique finish, like a modern tapestry. Started and finished by hand on Lake Como Italy.

 

FIL-JACQUARD

Like Graphic jacquard Fil Jacquard is a completely new and unique weave to Como Silks. Mid weight, pure and with the highest definition, it is 100% Italian silk crafted in such a way it creates a beautiful rich pearlescent effect that changes with the light. 

To make each piece - 3/4 of full day to weave, 13 people, 2 factories, for this unique pearlescent finish. Started and finished by hand on Lake Como Italy.
